As a HUD Processing Specialist, you will assist with the day-to-day operations and management of the tax credit and other funding programs that require detailed income verification and periodic reporting to other agencies. This person will work closely with the Compliance Manager and Director of Operations.

This role will be based out of the ACC corporate office in Oshkosh, WI but willing to consider remote for the right candidate.

Some of what you’ll be doing as a HUD Processing Specialist:
• Receive and review files related to Section 42, Section 8, Rural Development and other state and federal affordable housing programs for accuracy and ensure all verifications are completed.
• Onboard and train new Community Managers according to ACC Management Group policies and procedures.
• Work closely with Community Managers to ensure project and file compliance.
• Use company software to assist site staff for accurate completion of tasks.
• Ensure proper document labeling, uploading, organization and completion of files being stored in SharePoint.
• Complete annual, quarterly, and monthly reporting to state agencies including HOME, IHDA, WHEDA, AHP.
• Gather and prepare all the needed data to complete each needed utility baseline analysis.
• Update rent schedules in Onesite, distribute required paperwork to projects all within the required timeframe.
• Create, review, and submit HAP vouchers for HUD properties. Track and make any needed corrections.
• Investigate and mitigate monthly EIV discrepancies.
• Investigate and mitigate HAP balance issues and questions.
• Process repayment plans, track and execute in Onesite.
• Gather needed compliance documents for MORs.
• Collect, process and submit special claims requests.


What you’ll bring to the table as a HUD Processing Specialist:
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of HUD compliance experience required.
• COS certification is required and HCCP certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer software applications including Onesite, word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MS outlook, word and excel).
• Maintain valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Flexibility with working hours during heavy certification and deadline period.
• Work as a team to maintain compliance department coverage during ACC business hours.
• Ability to prioritize and possess efficient time management skills and work independently.
